EEE Excellent Evening Entertainment

Staff was very courteous whether it is reception, restaurants in resort, house keeping, or gardening. Very helpful people who are always ready to provide you that you asked for. Love the pool area.

Waves were bringing some type of plants to the beach. These plants were very annoying when touching our feet. However resort cleaned these plants every morning.

I think is the best location you can choose to spend an "all inclusive holiday" . You have the nice service you ever dream. The location have SPA, Restaurants, Pools, everything.... You will not get bored here if you like laying on beach.. and eat well.

Great place almost perfect!

The buffet restaurant has a lot of choice, there's a lot of bars scattered, different themed restaurants, the standard room is awesome, big and comfortable, the staff is kind, the shows are good, and the animation team is okay. The permisses are beautiful, the hotel staff promptly fixed any issue. Food is okay.

Our room was on the 2nd floor and there's no elevator, everyone expects tips, on the buffet restaurant the services takes some time, the maid would quite often forget to refill the shower gel, the show although good is almost always about dancing (no theater only one magic show), at the reception the waiting time can be long, the 2 times I've asked for a transfer the staff arranged me with non official transfers. The last time I required a transfer I've approached an official one and it was cheaper. No free internet.

We had a very positive, relaxing experience at Iberostar. Probably the best choice in Varadero!

The rooms are extremely clean and cared for like a 5-star hotel. There are free water-sports, which makes it all more worth it. Pool-side activities during the day very fun. Staff is very friendly!

If you care about food, you should realize that it's going to be overwhelmingly mediocre (barring the Gourmet restaurant, which is truly incredible-- but very hard to get into because of popularity).

Great facilities, great bars, amazing beach, friendly staff, food should be better.

We would like to thank Fidel, our concierge, for his professionalism, his attitude and his recommendations.. he was always making sure that we would enjoy our stay to the maximum. Very good facilities, very nice pool bar with fresh fruit juices and cocktails. Beer is served extra cold, the way it should be. The beach in front of the hotel is simply amazing!

The food!! Apart from the gourmet restaurant that was a really nice experience with high quality plates, the rest of the restaurants didn’t meet our expectations and stayed quite mediocre. The Manzoku Japanese restaurant isn’t really Japanese. The chef prepared a very average (rice with meat and shrimps) plate in front of you with the emphasis being given on the show of preparing stuff in front of you rather than the taste and the quality. The only purely Japanese plate served was 3 sushi maki and 3 nigiris served as an appetizer per 2 persons. We had lunch at the Mediterranean restaurant that served us cold French fries and re-heated fried fish that was soft instead of crunchy and tasteless. Buffets and breakfast are rich, grill at the poolside is quite good too.

Before arriving at the hotel, my expectations were a bit low.

Before arriving at the hotel, my expectations were a bit low. Everyone told that the hotels in Cuba had much less quality than others located, for example, in Mexico. Nevertheless, my opinion changed as soon as I saw the hotel. Quite good frankly. Both the room and food were really good. The beach near the hotel was quite nice. The animation activities were also very good.

Having to "fight" for a chair in the beach... and some chairs were broke. I don't expect that on a 5* hotel. I recommend a shuttle from the hotel to the varadero city center.

It was good, but be careful with the staff

The beach is great. The room is really nice too.

The staff. On the beach, there was a day when I could find an umbrella but not the lounge chair and the staff didn't help me to find one. Other thing, cuban people are always trying to take money from you. I had to travel from Varadero to Habana and the luggage man tried to make money with me offering a taxi for 100 cuc (which is almost 100usd). Then I realized that Transtur (a bus) arrives to the hotel, so I contracted it for 25 cuc!!

High level hotel

Having in mind that you're in socialist Cuba - amazing hotel. Very clean, great staff and so on. However, price is high. For that money in Europe you would expect more. But it's Cuba. Great expierence. You can only value it if you travel outside Varadero, see real Cuba and stay in other hotels.

Price is too high. Japanese restaurant is a joke. Food isn't good even compared to the buffet, show is a little bit silly. However, great staff. You have to value their effort to fake Japan in Varadero

A holiday with no worries

The outdoor facilities were excellent. Plenty of variety and chillout locations eg luxurious day beds, hammocks immersed in palm trees, sun lounger and bamboo beach huts. Great daily and. Ightly entertainment and wonderful service from staff.

It’s honety not fair to comment on the food situation, as I’m very aware of the food crisis occurring in the nation. So whilst, the food was not exactly the most memorable aspect of this holiday, I commend the hotel on their efforts to provide the best and most appealing dishes considering the circumstances.

Excellent hotel overall. Nice to have the option of pool and beach. Poolside entertainment in the afternoon very good. Breakfast / buffet room is huge and has an unfriendly canteen feel to it but does it's job. Did not use the hotel spa but appeared to have a good treatment list. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
